1. Purpose of the Policy
This policy aims to ensure the protection of personal information collected, held, used, or disclosed by the Dollard Figure Skating Club (Dollard FSC) in the course of its activities.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all members, employees, volunteers, suppliers, and any other person with access to personal information within the activities of the Dollard FSC.
3. Definitions
- Personal Information: Any information about a natural person that allows them to be identified.
- Privacy Officer: The person designated by the club to ensure compliance with this policy.
4. Collection of Personal Information
Dollard FSC collects only the personal information necessary for registration, activity management, communication with its members, and to meet legal obligations.
5. Methods of Collection
Collection is primarily carried out through the Uplifter platform during member registration or via direct communication with the club.
6. Consent
Consent from the individuals concerned is required for the collection, use, or disclosure of their personal information, except in cases provided by law.
7. Use of Personal Information
Information is used only for the purposes for which it was collected, unless additional consent has been obtained.
8. Disclosure of Information
Information may be shared with Skate Québec, Skate Canada, or any other organization when required for participation in activities or competitions.
9. Retention and Destruction of Data
Information is retained for a reasonable period to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and is then securely deleted.
10. Security Measures
The club implements physical, administrative, and technological measures to protect information (e.g., restricted access to Uplifter, password protection, encryption, etc.).
11. Right to Access and Rectification
Any person may request access to their personal information and request correction of any inaccurate information by contacting the Privacy Officer.

13. Complaint Handling
Any complaint regarding the protection of personal information can be submitted to the Privacy Officer mentioned above. A response will be provided within a reasonable timeframe.
14. Policy Updates
This policy may be modified at any time. Any changes will be posted on the club’s website and communicated to members.
15. Effective Date
This policy comes into effect on April 16, 2025.
