Registration: FOR PRIVATE ICE SKATERS (Not for Canskate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please make sure you register for the correct session. Skaters must be registered for sessions at their level only.<\/p>\n<p>Missed sessions: Skaters may only skate on the days they are registered for. Skaters will not be allowed to make up sessions they have missed, due to sickness, vacations, inclement weather or conflicting events. Make up sessions can be purchased as a \u201cbuy on\u201d for extra ice on session for which they are qualified (Jr\/Sr, etc..) as long as the session is not full to capacity.<\/p>\n<p>Stroking can only be done during the first 10 minutes of each session.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\"><strong>2. Skating Etiquette and Safety: FOR ALL SKATERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No skater or parent of a skater should interrupt a Coach during another skaters private lesson or during the Canskate classes, unless it is an emergency. Please reserve all questions until after the session or for during your own session. Be thoughtful of other skaters, their lesson is being paid for.<\/p>\n<p>For Canskaters: Please direct questions or comments about Canskate programming to the Dollard Figure Skating Club Board at contactus@cpadollard.com and the canskate director will answer any and all questions or concerns . For questions\/comments regarding your child\u2019s progress or instruction on the ice you can refer to the on-ice coordinator after the session. <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Please do not refer to the Program Assistants (Coaches Assistants).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Appropriate use of language and display of positive behavior is expected at all times. All skaters and parents are encouraged to use common courtesy, good manners and respect fellow skaters, Coaches, Executive Members, Parents and Civic Centre Staff. Any person not abiding by this rule will be asked to leave the area.<\/p>\n<p>Skate guards must be worn on skates at all times when outside the rink enclosure (ALL SKATERS)<\/p>\n<p>Priority or right of way must be yielded to a skater who\u2019s music is being played, and all other skaters and Coaches are asked to be courteous.<\/p>\n<p>No gum, candy, food or drink on the ice, with the exception of water bottles are to be at the boards.<\/p>\n<p>No fooling around, pushing, racing, etc..will be tolerated on or around the ice.<\/p>\n<p>If a skater should fall on the ice, it is important that the skater gets up immediately if not injured. Failing to do so is dangerous for the skater and other skaters\/Coaches on the ice.<\/p>\n<p>For safety reasons long hair is to be tied back away from the face.<\/p>\n<p>All doors to the ice surface must remain closed at all times.<\/p>\n<p>Sitting on the boards is not permitted. Parents of Canskaters are requested to not stand inside the \u201cgated area\u201d of the perimeter of the ice rink. (where the music cart is). This area is reserved for DFSC Board members and Coaches only.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\"><strong>3. Dress code:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Boys<\/span>: No jeans shall be worn.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Girls<\/span>: Skating dress or skirt. Stretch pants may be worn but must not hang down or be flared.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Canskate<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Boys<\/span>\u2013 sweatpants or track pants and club sweatshirt (no bulky snowpants). Wearing a CAN3-Z262.1 or\u00a0<span class=\"il\">CAN<\/span>\/CSA-Z262.1 approved helmet is mandatory for all (adults and children), up to stage 5 inclusively, at all time on the ice.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Girls<\/span>: Club sweatshirt and skating skirt. Wearing a CAN3-Z262.1 or\u00a0<span class=\"il\">CAN<\/span>\/CSA-Z262.1 approved helmet is mandatory for all (adults and children), up to stage 5 inclusively, at all time on the ice.<\/p>\n<p>Voici les r\u00e8gles g\u00e9n\u00e9rales du code vestimentaire concernant CanSkate<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Les participants doivent fournir leur \u00e9quipement de patinage. Aucune location de patins ou de casques n\u2019est offerte par le club.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Les participants doivent avoir un habillement ad\u00e9quat pour la pratique du sport. Les v\u00eatements doivent \u00eatre ajust\u00e9s pr\u00e8s du corps tout en permettant une bonne mobilit\u00e9. Il n\u2019est pas recommand\u00e9 de porter un habit de neige car il entrave les mouvements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Le port d\u2019un casque homologu\u00e9 CAN3-Z262.1 ou CAN\/CSA-Z262.1 est obligatoire pour tous (enfants et adultes) jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tape 5 inclusivement, en tout temps sur la glace.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Les patins doivent \u00eatre en bonne condition et avoir un ajustement ad\u00e9quat. Les lacets doivent \u00eatre bien attach\u00e9s et ne pas tra\u00eener.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Le port de mitaines ou de gants est obligatoire.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Les mitaines ou les gants port\u00e9s par les participants ou les entra\u00eeneurs ne doivent pas laisser de r\u00e9sidus de tissu sur la glace lors de chute.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Les v\u00eatements de protection sont permis pourvu qu\u2019ils n\u2019emp\u00eachent pas la capacit\u00e9 de mouvement du corps. Les v\u00eatements de protection doivent \u00eatre souples et ajust\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Le port de bijoux ou de tout autre objet d\u00e9coratif est permis sauf s\u2019ils sont susceptibles de tomber ou de causer des blessures. Ils ne doivent pas \u00eatre susceptibles d\u2019\u00eatre accrochants.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li dir=\"ltr\" aria-level=\"1\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Les cheveux doivent \u00eatre attach\u00e9s si ceux-ci sont suffisamment longs pour nuire \u00e0 la vision. Les grosses pinces \u00e0 cheveux \u00e0 ressort et les bobby pins sont interdites.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"heading\"><strong>4. Music Rules: Not applicable to Canskaters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Skaters are expected to check in with Ice Captain before getting on the ice for attendance purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Music will be played in the following manner: Music will be played in \u201cline up\u201d..Skater in lesson-Skater not in lesson- Skater in lesson, etc\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Music played simultaneously (from another IPOD with speakers or boombox) while the DFSC Music Player is in play is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\"><strong>5. Ice Captain: Not applicable to Canskaters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take attendance to ensure that only registered skaters and skaters who have paid are on that session. Ensure that \u201cbuy ons\u201d have paid the fees owed and are added on the \u201cbuy on\u201d attendance sheet.<\/p>\n<p>Second Club (non DDO home club) guests will be required to hand in a completed \u201clabel\u201d placed on an envelope in which the buy on fee is to be included before getting on the ice. Buy on rates:<\/p>\n<p><!--\n\n\n<ul>\n \t\n\n<li>DDO Home Club member: $13\/hr<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Club Member: $15\/hr<\/li>\n\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n--><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Club Member: session de 50 minutes (15 $ non member of CPA Dollard)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--\n \t\n\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Club Member: session de 60 minutes (15 $ non member du CPA Dollard)<\/li>\n\n\n \t\n\n<li>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Club Member: session de 20 minutes (stroking \u2013 lundi) (5 $ non member du CPD Dollard)<\/li>\n\n\n--><\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\"><strong>6. Guest Skaters: Not applicable to Canskaters<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approval for buy ons must be obtained prior to the skater arriving at the arena by a Board member.<\/p>\n<p>Skaters can only \u201cbuy on\u201d for a session for which they are qualified. All guest fees must be paid to the ice captain before entering the ice.<\/p>\n<p>All coaches accompanying a buy on must provide their Skate Canada coach ID card. If this card is not provided the coach will not be allowed on the ice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"heading\"><strong>7. Club Awards:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for any Club awards, skaters must be registered with the DFSC as their home club, and must have an active winter membership within the club.
